Cinema Bizarre Has Broken Up

I know that’s a tough headline to read, but today the band posted a message on their official MySpace page announcing that they were breaking up and that the band members were heading their separate ways. They also posted a final episode of CBTV recalling the best moments they’ve had over the past few years.

The second single from Cinema Bizarre’s ToyZ is “My Obsession”. The song was originally supposed to be the first single, but after a leak the band decided to instead use “I Came 2 Party”, which they recorded with Space Cowboy. The “My Obsession” single will be released in Germany on November 27th, 2009 in both a 2-track and a premium version. I’m assuming it will be released on iTunes in Canada on the following Tuesday (December 1st, 2009). Click here to see the music video, or you can see it in black & white by clicking here.

Strify Says “Hi Street Team!”

Today Cherrytree Records held a Live chat with Cinema Bizarre. It started with some technical difficulties, but finally it started to work and they talked for about 40 minutes, and answered fans’ questions! At about 32:00 minutes into the chat, they said hi to the Canadian Street Team, and said that Canada is “BANG!”. Check out the video below the see it.

ToyZ and BANG! Are Now Available!

ToyZ and BANG! have finally been released in Canada! You can get ToyZ on Amazon.ca for just $13.99, but you’ll have to wait for them to get the album back in stock. It seems have sold out! On the other hand, BANG! is only available on iTunes where you can get it for $7.99.

ToyZ Has Been Leaked!

Unfortunately, Cinema Bizarre’s new album ToyZ has been leaked in its entirety just days before it was due to be released in Europe. The band isn’t very pleased, and neither is Universal.

Please don’t pursue a download a link, and wait for the album’s official release in Canada on August 25th to play with your ToyZ. You can even go preorder it, to make the wait shorter!

BANG! will be released in Canada on August 25th, 2009 and the tracklist is below! Unfortunately, I just found out that BANG! will not be released in-store on this date and will only be available digitally, on iTunes and other digital download programs/websites.

The good news is that although you won’t be able to buy BANG!, some stores will have ToyZ available as an import. To make sure you have it on the release date, make sure to go to your local store and preorder a copy!
